Refresh your equine parasite knowledge

It's Springtime again and the parasites that affect our horses can start to present problems because they generally become more infectious when the weather gets warmer.

There are many types of these parasites such as redworms, roundworms, tapeworms, pinworms and bots flies.

It's really important to be aware of how to recognise, prevent, manage and control these parasites to make sure our horses can remain happy and healthy.

It can be difficult to keep track of all the information so I've compiled a guide on the most common equine parasites in a post I've written for the Irish Horse Welfare Trust. Check it out here.

I hope you find it useful!
